Weddings and solo jobs

The Group have had a very busy May with three weddings and many concerts with their own bands. Andy was guest soloist with the Billingham silver band at their sell out annual charity concert.

Both Fishburn and Reg Vardy have been in action at the Spring bell vue contests coming 5th and 9th respectively.

April

European contest

Andy and Grimethorpe represented England at the European brass band championships held in Ostend,Belgium. Despite coming runners up on the 'own choice' contest, the band had to be content with 5th place over-all.

Martin has again been featured on tour as the principal horn with the brass band of  Battle creek.

March

Reg Vardy Qualify for London

The Reg Vardy band, with Anna on cornet, have again qualified for the the finals of the National brass band championships held at the Royal Albert Hall in October.

February

Change of band for Anna

The group's trumpet player Anna Ferguson has recently moved from her position with the Fishburn band to join the current North of England champions Reg Vardy. She will make her debut with the band at the North of England Championships in March.

January

Globe trotting for Martin and Andy

Martin and Andy have returned to the UK after enjoying spells abroad. Martin has recently completed a concert tour of the Cayman Islands with the 'All-star' band of Battle Creek (USA).  Andy has been appearing at the Norwegian National Championships and performing in concert with the Stavanger band of Norway.

New Flugelhorn

Andy has been signed by the London based company Eclipse instruments as an Eclipse endorsing artist. Andy will now be exclusively playing his 24k Eclipse flugelhorn.
